Payments App

The mobile payments app (provisionally titled ‘Bob’) was an exploratory project conducted for a confederation of Irish banks and a major public sector financial regulatory organisation. The project sought to determine the feasibility of introducing a mobile payments app on the Irish market in competition with Revolut and N26. The app’s key features were outlined and explored with key stakeholders in a series of UX/technical workshops. The app concept focussed on high value features such as peer-to-peer payments, split bill payments, payments to small merchants, e-commerce payments and in-store payments. The complexities of the app registration and activation process were also fully explored.
